GROUPS

For RV groups, families, and groups seeking a cozy camping atmosphere in the forest, Fort Carson is the best 20-acre gathering place in North Idaho. It's a perfect place for an RV rally, country wedding, reception, reunion, retreat, training class, or any event where a lake setting and a variety of lodging and group facilities are sought. Our Clubhouse seats 50+, and the extended deck and lawn area can entertain 100+. Take advantage of our Lakeside Amphiteater to place a band or put on a beautiful ceremony.. Let your imagination soar and have a fun time planning!

RV GROUPS

For RV groups, our 17, 50amp full-hookup sites (14 of them are pull-thrus and 3 of them are huge back-in or nose-in Super Sites) are all grouped together for your convenience. These private sites sit together on a mini bluff with filtered views of the lake below. The Clubhouse, set near the RV sites, is an ideal place for your potluck and happy hour, complete with full kitchen, tables, chairs, and bathroom. Our lovely bathhouse is also just steps away and a great golf course and casino are within 6 miles.

REUNIONS

It's hard to find a resort with a variety of lodging. The younger folks want to camp, the older ones have RVs or don't want to camp. Ft. Carson offers a variety of lodging for all ages and abilities. Whether you have an RV, or want to sleep in a covered wagon, tent, or cabin, we have a place to make everyone happy. You can even rent linens for the camping cabins. And of course our group Clubhouse & Ampitheater will keep everyone fed and entertained. Have the kids put on skits in the amphitheater or hold a talent show. Maybe you'll even catch one of our outdoor old-west movies on a Saturday night. And don't forget to bring the canoes or kayaks, or rent one of ours. The area also has tons of activities for your group if you want to organize a hike or a trip to the nature preserve. And maybe the men want to hit the golf course while the ladies hit the casino!

WEDDINGS

And having your event at Fort Carson will allow you to cross a few of the toughest finds, right off your to-do list. We can provide all or most of your lodging needs, your indoor reception facility and your ceremonial location by the lake, complete with a birchwood arch beside the lake and an seating ampitheater for your guests to attend. Our lakeside deck is ready for your band or DJ system, and our full kitchen and BBQs are ready for feasts!

The Mother of Online Invitations: Our favorite online party planner is Evite. For the do-it-yourself planner, you can do amazing things with this extensive online group invitation tool. Of course it helps you develop & design your invitation with text and photographs, then develops your invitation list, but you can do other awesome stuff. For instance, you can develop a "items needed" list. Each guest that accepts an invitation will also pick one of the items on the list to bring. When they click it, that item will get crossed off the list. This works great as a wedding gift list as well. You can also plan activities and have your guests sign up for the ones they want to do and even suggest other activities or different times. This can help develop or discard any activities that you want to plan. Evite also lets guests make comments, suggestions, and RSVP. When a guest RSVPs, everyone can read everyones responses. It makes planning really fun and interactive for the whole group. Even those that can't come have a comment sheet to send their best wishes. In addition, everyone can access maps on how to get to your event, and also websites (like this one!) to make reservations for lodging. It is super user friendly and fun for the whole crew to read and respond too. I'm planning our Family Xmas get-together with it now!
